WBIR TV 10 - “Your Stories” Special On Sam Basseen and Pioneer Air Systems
Pioneer Air Systems and it’s founder Sam Basseen were the subject of a recent news story by local Knoxville TV station WBIR 10. During a segment called “Your Stories”, which highlights local people and what they do for our community, Sam explains how he came from India, earned his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, and started Pioneer Air with $5000.
The company soon flourished and Sam received several patents, as well as winning prestigious awards such as the Vaaler Award, Coopers & Lybrand Entrepreneurial Awards, and Who’s Who Awards.
Pioneer Air Systems Inc. has been in business since 1980, and is still producing innovative products, such as bio-gas and natural gas dryers.
